    Stem Cell Treatment

    An Opportunity to Fight Cancer...

When some internal or external factors change abruptly in our body, it could make our immune system stop recognizing some elements as part of our body. Stem cells from bone marrow could be very useful in these cases because they work as “educators” to other cells, bringing the immune system to it’s original state and re-start working properly. In other words, it’s like pressing a “reset button” in our immune system.

This procedure could be described as an autologous infusion of stem cells from bone marrow. Consisting of bone marrow extraction from a big bone in the body using local anaesthesia. After the extraction an activation process is performed in a closed system and with minimal manipulation. After this process is complete, the specimen is infused back into the body intravenously.

The infused stem cells migrate into the cancerous area and produced an enzyme that converts a non-toxic pro-drug into a chemotherapeutic agent. As a result, the injected substance has the potential to reduce the tumor mass. Current cancer treatments are designed to kill cancer cells and conventional chemotherapy treatments cannot discriminate between cancerous cells and others. Stem cell therapies may serve as potential treatments for cancer and function without killing non-cancerous cells.

    Potential Benefits

Outcomes vary; some patients report a slow down on their degenerative condition, while others reported their symptoms going away. In general patients feel more energetic (chronic fatigue tends to diminish) and flexible as the pain and stiffness diminishes. The purpose of this therapy is to stop/slow the progression of the illness and its consequences, knowing before hand that deformity of the bone structure caused before treatment cannot be reversed.

Every patient and every therapy will respond differently depending on their current health status. Because of the specificity of every case, Global Healthcare connections, along with our medical partners, will review each patient to accept candidates appropriate with this medical therapy.

    The Approach

Come in for a consultation. The consultations are one hour long and are free. During our consultation we will gather your medical history, assist you getting the correct medical records needed, and answer any of your questions in regards to the treatment-for-travel process. If some of your questions are medical in nature, we will help you connect to one of the doctors at a partner facility to get all your questions answered.

These medical experts will study your case, your current condition as well as your health history. After a full evaluation, it is decided whether or not you are a candidate for cell therapy. A medical committee studies your case and honestly considers your improvement potential.

After your case is evaluated, we will contact you regarding your particular case, treatment and potential benefits you may expect from treatment. We also answer any questions you may have about our process for coordinating the details for your travel & treatment.

When you are comfortable with the treatment outline & options presented, Global Healthcare Connections will collect an administration fee to oversee your case management. We will assist you in completing your entire travel for treatment details, as well as the transfer and/or request of lab results.  We will assist you to determine the best time to go for treatment and begin taking care of all the details of your medical trip: airfare, lodging, special needs and requests, ground transportation, insurance, as well as entertainment and sightseeing excursions.

Global Healthcare Connections will place you in contact with a person agent/assistant that will assist you with your pre and post treatment plan while at one of the partner facilities.

Your procedure date will be finalized, and we will help you with any other information that needs to be forwarded to the treatment facility. In short, we will coordinate all that’s necessary for a practical and easy stay with the facility.

Two weeks before the procedure date, your case manager will provide suggestions from the Doctors on how to prepare your body for treatment. These suggestions will include steps to optimize bone marrow stem cell generation and reception of them in your body. Often these recommendations are related to eating and physical habits.

We will work in collaboration with a stem cell clinic in regards to your treatment plan. It is necessary to make an appointment for the procedure at least 2 to 3 weeks in advance. Exceptions can be made when the condition of the patient requires urgent care.
